As part of the 2019 Canadian Elections, the Defending Conservatism Institute catalogued cases of Liberal voter fraud targeting Conservative voters.

Background

Hundreds of Thousands of Voter Cards Sent to Dead, Non-Citizens

As reported on by the Toronto Sun in November 2018, hundreds of thousands of voter cards were sent to dead people and non-citizens. Furthermore, as pointed out by the Sun, the Trudeau administration had the laws changed just before the elections so voter cards could be used as identification to vote.[1]

Trudeau Administration Changed Laws so Millions of Non-Citizens Could Vote

Just before the elections, the Trudeau administration also had the laws changed to help non-Canadian citizens vote in the upcoming elections. As also reported on by Brian Lilley of the Sun:

2019 Voter Fraud Cases

Altering Ballots

  • According to Jenny Rae Hennig, several people were caught smearing the ballot votes of Conservative voters.[2]
  • Frank Niesinsk observed election officials opening the ballots of multiple voters in violation of longstanding election laws.[3]

Hundreds of Conservative Voters Kept From Voting

Hundreds of oil and gas workers were denied the right to vote and turned away from the polls despite having valid I.D., the majority of whom were likely Conservative voters. Some were from BC and Ontario, so the fraud affected multiple provinces. Wal-Mart employees were also prevented from voting by employers who refused them time off to vote.

  • Wynona Turnell Smith stated that at least 100 oil pipeliners in Moosomin, Saskatchewan were being prevented from voting. Some were from BC and Ontario, so the fraud affected multiple provinces. All of them had driver's licenses but were prevented from voting.[4]
  • Tyra Hudson stated, "The remote workers in the oilfields would have loved to vote for you. Unfortunately they are being turned away from the polls after being told at the advance polls to come back on October 21... the worker at the pool said they were trained to say that. I smell a dirty election."[5]
  • Jackie Hoffman mentioned that at least 25 oil and gas workers who would have voted Conservative were turned away from the polls in Alberta and kept from voting because they were working away from their home districts. Deana Sonnleitner and her sister-in-law were both prevented from voting because they were Alberta residents from Calgary working in B.C. They were turned away and told they had to go to the nearest Alberta town to vote. Karen Sawchuk mentioned she was seeing the same thing in Alberta also, Conservative voters being prevented from voting due to travel. According to Janet Pearce, students were being prevented from voting in their home towns and only allowed to vote near their universities.[6]
  • Ramona Brown said that oil and gas workers were being kept from voting in Alberta because they were away from home even though they had valid I.D.[7]
  • Lannish Wilto stated that Wal-Mart employees were being kept from voting by employers who refused them time off to vote.[8]
  • According to Harry Fogarty, "Harry Fogarty: "There is a news story that some people showed up to vote in some areas in different provinces and they got turned away even though they had the proper ID and voting cards in their hands. And one voting place nobody showed up to open."[9]
  • Logan Bruder was prevented from voting because he was traveling and away from his polling place. Janie Parrotta Mantean stated that happened to a friend of hers as well.[10]
  • According to Richard Atkinson, some people were getting the runaround when attempting to vote, and others were being forced to vote in mosques.[11]
  • Clayton Catlin stated that multiple voting stations, presumably in Ontario, were preventing people from voting.[12]
  • Anne Gitroy was prevented from voting because her utility bills were electronic. In her words, "because my bills are all electronic and i didnt get my id changed yet they refused to let me vote. I believe that the fact that i am a canadian citizen and have pd taxes here all my life should be enough. Does this mean that homeless people also have to have paper proof to provide place of residence so they can vote? It's unconstitutional and my vote could have made the difference between losing or winning the seat." (sic)[13]
  • Danny Bartel, a truck driver, was prevented from voting despite having his I.D., and told he was outside his voting area.[14]
  • Jesse B. Tyson complained that he wasn't allowed to vote despite having been a permanent resident of Canada for nearly 20 years while new refugees are allowed to vote.[15]
  • Karen Covlin Day was prevented from voting because of unexpected travel. In her words, "I am from Nipawin. I have been born and raised in Saskatchewan! I came to Balgonie unexpected, (or I would’ve voted advanced). I want to vote for you but the Balgonie Saskatchewan polling station told me NO."[16]

Liberal Claims They Voted Four Times Already

A Liberal voter named Chris Pokorski claimed he had voted four times already.[17]

Voters Told They Already Voted

According to Dawn Scrupps-McFadden, multiple conservative voters were told they had already voted when attempting to vote.[18]

Voters Forced to Use Pencils Instead of Pens

Numerous Conservative voters were forced to use pencils instead of pens, and complained about how concerned they were that their votes would be altered.

  • Larry Imrich expressed concern that voters were being prevented from voting in pen, and said he had specifically requested to vote in pen but was told by the clerk that votes had to be in pen. Larry questioned whether the documents could even be considered legal if the votes were not in pen, and suggested that "the vote is a sham." James Dennis said the votes would just be ripped up anyway if Liberals didn't like them. Jerry Clapham and Sharon Xavier both expressed concerns that they had been forced to vote in pencil also, with Sharon stating "I had the exact same concern ? 'pencil marks can be erased !!" (sic)[19]
  • Kathy Epp questioned why Conservative voters were being forced to use pencils. Five others expressed similar sentiments including Terri Lynn Spiteri, who said, "I made my X very large and very thick and very deep, almost through the paper! I thought it was odd too." To quote Roy Lee Wilcox, "Marked mine deep.....it is b.s pencil should never be on a ballet might just be how the liberals plan to cheat to win...wouldnt put anything by the 'trudeau molester' at this point." CJ Journeay cynically remarked, "because we cant afford pens under the trudeau government. Massive deficits... in 4 years it will be crayons."[20]
  • Irene Devine said she specifically asked to vote in pen and was refused by poll workers who claimed they couldn't refold her ballot.[21]

Potential Nursing Home Fraud

Lynda Wood-Slaght suggested that Liberals were stealing votes by manipulating elderly nursing home residents, using polling stations to gain votes from residents who didn't even know their own names.[22]

Illegal Voting

  • According to Rene Jansen in a comment that has since disappeared, multiple people observed illegal residents coming into Canada to vote. However, in a follow-up comment that is still visible, she rebuts criticism of her claim, stating "no these were actual people that were there to witness it." (sic)[23]
  • Britanny Bee-Nantel stated that "It was an unfair election, so many refugees who enterred illegally and legally who were allowed to vote."[24]
  • J.B. Tyson remarked that, "I'm a Canadian perm resident for nearly 20 yrs and wasnt allowed a vote! Yet the new refugees get to vote."[15]
